Result description
A CyberRange relies not only on its functionalities, but also on the built content and the ability to modify it easily. Indeed, a CyberRange will propose a set of templates and network topologies that will be used and connected together to implement easily and quickly more complex systems that will be relevant for any organisation and will perfectly fit the needs. This is why content is a key parameter to distinguish CyberRange providers. The more content available, the easier it is to build complex systems.
Addressing target audiences and expressing needs
- Help in technical expertise
- Use of research Infrastructure
- Collaboration
We aim to embedd a wider diversity of OT/IT environments and enrich the number and complexity of cyber-security scenarios. As a collaborative platform, the CyberRange can host shared topologies and templates. It has an intuitive user interface enabling such collaborative scenario building and cybersecurity exercise activities. The scenarios developped within SeCoIIA apply to the Aerospace, Automotive, Naval and RObotic manufacturing industries.

R&D, Technology and Innovation aspects
The OT CyberRange is already a marketable product. However, the digital twins built within SeCoIIA project are only representative of real manufacturing systems, which makes them TRL6 under EC definition. Connection to real infrastructures would bring them to TRL7. However, further work is needed to secure connection channels between the digital twins and the physical twins, to ensure compliance with customer organizations’ IT policies.
The cloud-based CyberRange is virtually unlimited in number of customers, topologies, templates and scenarios.
The physical version is only limited by the selected hardware which is done according to user requirements.
New corridors can be opened upon request in the cloud-based Cyber-Range.
Topologies can be replicated and modified indefinitly.
The CyberRange supports cybersecurity testing and training on virtual environments, therefore minimizing impact on real industrial infrastructures and related environmental effects.
The cloud-based version is accessible to any user with minimal hardware and connectivity requirements. Therefore it contributes to reducing the negative impact of ICT equipment acquisition, power consumption and disposal.
