Gcore is capable of downloading and delivering Copernicus data to external users. It has been implemented as an NDVI processor to generate added value products based on Copernicus images.
G-CORE addresses the lack of capability and products for Earth Observation (EO) services. It provides two main functionalities:
- A Data Manager for spatial and non-spatial purposes.
- A Processing framework to host external processors developed by third parties to generate added-value products based on Satellite imageries.
By creating such added-value products through the integration of G-CORE as a data manager, this thematic service can explore the sustainability of the EO services exposed. It will ultimately establish itself as a service with additional channels to use EO products.

In the context of this project we are interested to collaborate with other thematic services or market place´s users of EOSC to use the Gcore as:
· Data provider to recover and catalogue data from satellite missions to improve the processing chains provided by other thematic services to promote the cross-fertilization processes between partners.
· Data manager for other thematic services to use the satellite imageries as ancillary data for scientific or research studies.
· Hosted processor framework to include the third party´s processor, to create added value products from satellite imageries.

The next steps must be:
- To develop interoperable interfaces with other services to exchange data faster and effectively.
- To develop an intermediate cache to discover and provide data faster and effectively.
- To include a distributed data base compatible with cloud technologies
- To include the Artificial Intelligence modules to provide additional features or functionalities for earth observation applications
The Gcore is able to provide data as a service for other thematic services, the scalability of business model is based on the commercial agreement to sign with other partners.
Different business models are proposed:
- Fixed cost of professional staff to maintain the services operations. Additional costs of HW infrastructure to be defined for operational environment.
- Revenue sharing for hosted processing.
- Pay per use or fixed price for external users who uses gcore as data manage.
- Royalty free for services partners who use the Gcore as data manager or hosted processing.
The revenue stream could be wide because we reach the objective to use the satellite imageries out of the scope of nominal niches, the community can use the Gcore as a useful tool to use the satellite imageries in their studies or projects and the Gcore can be used for scientific community, very relevant for us.
Gcore4Science is a service that can executed on demand
The framework should be flexible enough to bring users to data to develop additional activities of processing in cloud environment instead of downloading the data to be processed in local. In addition to, it should be interoperable in such way that it would be easy to interface with external components of complex systems that could be executed in cloud environment.
