ISTI has upgraded iSPEED, an extreme transition and processing field message bus. It is an integrated real time data acquisition and processing platform with the ability to manage big volumes of data acquired in the field. This result consists of APIs and connectors to publish or subscribe to information on the real-time bus, iSPEED, for a particular product, system or library. It serves as a solution to provide a Message Oriented Real Time middleware and to ensure high performance and scalability without message brokers acting as a bottleneck or single point of failure. ISTI has also improved the iSPEED Docker container and developed some service tools integrated with iSPEED like the data simulator and Kafka connector

This result achieved a TRL-7 “system prototype demonstration in operational environment”. Next steps: the broad scale deployment of the integrated solution Babel / iSPEED / Node#1 in the offshore wind industry will require pilot projects where demonstrate their benefits.
