The proposed experiments comprised: (1) the use of thermo-catalysts for achieving the degradation of a dye (Orange II) using heat, (2) Simulation of groundwater natural filtration processes in the presence of clean or polluted water; It evidenced that In the presence of contamination, the natural filtration processes in the soil are not sufficient; (3) flocculation and toxicity screening tests using the Thamnocephalus Platyurus fairy shrimp; (4) Preparation of magnetic materials and their use for dye adsorption (Crystal violet); 5) Photocatalytic degradation of pollutants using catalysts in powder (characterized by different colours) or as hydrogels and films and (6) the use of membranes for water filtration.
