The Systemic Decision Support Tool (SDST) enables assessment of the expected impacts, costs and benefits of NBS scenarios and allows stakeholders to visualise, evaluate and discuss impacts of no-action compared with NBSs scenarios in different situations (with/without climate change and/or population growth). Targeted audiences include city development sectors, local governments and regional authorities.
The version of the SDST and associated graphical user interface developed for Tampere (FI), Eindhoven (NL) and Genova (IT), is available and can be used freely (see: http://unalab.eng.it/nbssvt_v4/).

Targeted audiences include municipal, local and regional authorities, decision-makers, regulatory authorities, developers, environmental consultants, NBS/ landscape designers, landscape architects, local and regional programme managers and the research community. Benefits include the ability to visualise, evaluate and discuss impacts of no-action compared with NBS scenarios in different situations, and to assess the impacts of NBS on urban heat and air quality, flooding and water quality, biodiversity, and/or sprawl, gentrification and real-estate valuation.

The most recent version of the Systemic Decision Support Tool (SDST) and associated graphical user interface (NBS-SVT) developed for Tampere (FI), Eindhoven (NL) and Genova (IT), is available and can be used freely (see: http://unalab.eng.it/nbssvt_v4/).
The development of a commercial version of the SDST would, given the availability of sufficient funding (~2 m€), require an additional 4 to 5 years to develop.
The developers of the Systemic Decision Support Tool (SDST) are already developing new research, innovation and/or consultancy project proposals in which the SDST and/or its graphical user interface are inluded, in strong collaboration with end-users (Municipal, local and regional authorities) as to assure wider beta testing and improve potential marktet uptake.
The Systemic Decision Support Tool (SDST) integrates environmental, social and economic factors within holistic evaluations of specific future scenarios to inform planning and development and ensure multiple co-benefits in the longer term.
